The trial actually went surprisingly well for Borgrim, although the village leader had not bond or sympathy towards him, his family cried out to spare Borgrims life, in that he was only protecting the family. Telus saw reason, and although the bullies were spared of any punishment, their summon to court was enough to frighten them into leaving the boy alone. Borgrim was spared because, although Telus despised Borgrim as all humans, Telus was a fair and just man, and Borgrim had always respected that.
He would have murdered him on the spot if he knew of Borgrim's relationship with his daughter, but he was so busy now a days in his chamber guarding the cursed blade, that he hardly had time to notice. They finally did the deed one evening while the village leader and his wife were at a city council. Terza was asleep, Borgrim stayed up though, he wasn't about to be caught in her bed. He still had plenty of time before they would return from the meeting, but he didn't plan on being there very long. Being distracted by heavy thoughts of his life up until that point, suddenly, the door to her room opened.
