The Man from the Sky part 4

Valen awoke sooner than he thought he would. Sitting in his hibernation pod, with a woman pointing a gun at his face. "How could you!?" "What?" "My hopes and dreams, the new world, you've ruined it all!" Valen was a bit bewildered, how long was I asleep? Who is this woman and where did she come from? "I've changed the trajectory back on to original course" She started saying, "or so I've tried, I'm not a mathematician, as far as I know you've completely ruined this mission, the least I could do to satisfy myself is to kill the man that ruined my hopes and dreams."

Valen tried to get up, but his body was too weak from hibernation. "Don't you fucking move!" she screamed. "Eternal hibernation would be too good for you, I'm going to make sure your death is slow and painful!" She shot him in the shoulder. Valen let out a scream and fell out of the hibernation pod. "Please, I had no other choice, it was this or being locked up for the rest of my life." "FUCK YOU! Life in prison is too good of a sentence for you." He reached up and grabbed the gun, she shot a hole through his arm as he grabbed it but he kept his grip tight. After a bit of wrestling around, he finally got the gun out of her hands. She screamed and lunged at him in retaliation, but he shot her in the leg, then shoved her into the hibernation pod and locked the door. As she screamed and pounded on the glass door, he set the hibernation time for 10 years. The pod eventually calmed her down as she drifter off into hibernation.

I gotta set the trajectory back, he thought as he took a step. OUCH! I must have sprained my foot during the scuffle and not realized it, oh well, the hibernation pod will take care of my injuries, but I gotta change the trajectory first. He limped over to the cockpit, and set a random trajectory in the opposite direction. He limped back to the hibernation pod, smoked some more poherma, and set the hibernation pod for just under 10 years, and went to sleep. More vivid dreams haunted him, this time of a soldier, heading into battle.
