Was it all just a dream? Morax pondered as he lay in bed the next day. The events from the night before were too surreal to be true. He would have thought himself a madman if it weren't for Aether and Sem to corroborate his story. Later that day, one of their friends, Torne who had journeyed to Sabaria a day before them had returned. He spoke of the ghost town that was now Sabaria, and although there were signs of battle, broken things, blood spilt on the ground, there were no signs of life, not even any corpses to tell the tale of what happened to the village.
Perplexed by the mystery, the boys concluded that the forbidden forest in which they entered the night before might hold the answer. They decided to make the journey back there. Sem had no reason to go, much more now that he's seen what lies within, he decided he'd rather stay alive, and remained in the village. Torne, the best swordsman in the village, rivaled only by Aether, joined the two on their quest to return to the spot. The 3 had not told anyone from the village what had happened, except for Torne who was their close friend. Armed this time with torches in addition to their usual weapons, they set off on their journey towards the forbidden forest.
