Building a raft out of the nearby trees, they set sail for the island in the lake of blood. Now that they were close to it, they could finally see that the lake was actually made of blood. As they set sail, they noticed more corpses stacked within the lake. What had happened in this place to leave so many rotting bodies behind? As they sailed, they were enveloped by the fog. Sailing aimlessly for awhile, they were about to give up hope, when they finally reached the island.
Marching up the trail to the top of the island, they noticed a trail heading down into a large forest, and so they followed. They ended up in decently sized grove, where a sword in a pedestal lay in the middle. As they stepped towards it, a being the likes of which they've never seen appeared before them.
It was a female who appeared to have non human origins. She spoke "I've been waiting for you, I'd just like to personally thank you for finding the Morax, I shall steal that from your corpse eventually, but I would like to see if one of you can retrieve this sword." Aether drew his sword, "I never expected you to comply, I will kill you eventually, but first, let me put your skills to the test." Aether charged forward, and was knocked down with relative ease. The bitch laughed. Morax tried to bash her head in with his spade, but she snapped it in half and laughed some more. "I do realize it might be a problem if one of you draws the sword and is able to wield it's power. I'll just drain you of your energy until you're almost dead, then you may pull the sword."
Aether charged one more time, but she knocked the blade from his hand and grabbed him by the throat and started draining his power. "SO DELICIOUS!" She cried out. Morax tried to attack her but she slapped him aside. They were both powerless before her, and she was becoming stronger draining Aether of his life force. Morax got a crazy idea, it wasn't the best idea, but it was his only shot.
