When Orlis, father of Morax, was a small child, he had a dream. In this dream he was in a dark forest, in front of a grave hidden deep within the thicket. The gravestone had the name of Morax written upon it, and nothing else. Not knowing who Morax was, he cried out for the unknown soul, he must have been a lonely person to be buried in such an obscure place. Getting the feeling that this Morax was a person of great importance, he felt that he should somehow continue his legacy, and thus, named his son Morax after the gravestone in his dream. What he didn't know, was that Morax had dreamt the same dreams, as had the father of Orlis before him. Now standing in the place he now knew was real, Morax knew that there was something more to these dreams, and that he might indeed find the gravestone somewhere in these lands.
He said nothing about it to Aether or anyone else. At the moment, they were both in shock at the disappearance of Torne. With nobody in sight, nor any signs of anyone at all, they reluctantly decided to continue on in hopes of finding their lost friend. They eventually came to a decrepit old bridge, one much like the one near Etal, only old and rotten. After they crossed the bridge, they came to a road which confirmed their suspicions. This was definitely some kind of world parallel to their own. Knowing that the road to the right continued to what should be the village of Etal, they decided to go left towards what should be their village. After traveling down the dark halls of the forest road for a few minutes, a flash of images brought Morax to his knees. Although afterwards he could not recall what the images were of, he somehow knew that beyond the shrubbery to his left, there was a path that had not been used for ages. After moving through the shrubbery, they found the path and moved down the hill next to the lake.
