Stepping through the gateway together, with the body of Ashmar (with the hopes of burying him in the new world) and the spirit of Kraos trapped inside a spirit bottle for a chance of a second life, they emerged in the complete opposite of what they expected. Frozen by the horrors of the place they now stood it wasn't long before they were confronted by a great shadow carrying a lantern of souls.
"I am Esos, I am your ancestor, the one who built this gateway, it was severed by human hands, and we were all damned to this place. Your coming ensures a bright future for us all, for I have exhausted all sources of my power to fracture the gates, only a few hundred souls remain on standby to take over the promised land. If we become one, we can shatter the seal on the gates and take the promised land for ourselves."

The Road part 4
Descending from the cliff which impeded their vehicle from continuing, the 3 survivors of the 6th expedition to the door at the end of the road eventually reached the forest at the bottom. A shift in landscape hundreds of years ago had sent the road dozens of feet below. At the edge of the forest the road continued up a great mountain. At the top of the mountain where they hoped would be a door, they only saw more mountains, and the road continued.
After traveling down the windy mountain roads for what seemed like a day, a great peak eventually came in sight, surely this must be the peak of destiny, a mountain so high it reaches beyond sight even from the mountains around it. And on the summit of the mountain, should be that doorway to paradise.
It was more difficult than they imagined, it took 3 days to scale the mountain in freezing temperatures. Ashmar died within near sight of the summit. Ashmar was on his second and last life, Asos and Uram decided to take the extra weight, and bury his body in the new world. The reached the summit soon after, and sure enough, a great door stood there. I think you know where this is going.

The Dark Forest part 11: What Morax saw
An old and dying race from another world made attempts to join the humans in their population of a new world. However, the humans slaughtered the incoming Seaceans and destroyed their gate, and thus those that entered from the other side emerged in the negative realm of that world. Over half of their race entered the doorway in hopes of resurfacing in the promised land, only to emerge in a cold, dark, silent hell. The few that made it onto the other side before the door was destroyed were lucky, they made it to the world of mortals, and their souls made it to the afterlife.
Those that ended up in the negative void of that world turned cannibal and killed each other to survive for as long as they could. Their souls trapped forevermore in that place. The last one to come through the doorway

was the great wizard who lead the project to create the doorway, Esos. He went insane in the realization that he somehow made a mistake and damned his entire race. He began to search for a sort of door to the outside realm, and not too long after searching, he found the great abysmal gates, but he could not open them.
With all the time in the world, he eventually devised a spell, which would assimilate souls into a mass of energy that would be used to open the gates. Over two thirds of the souls trapped there were used in the spell, so that they could open the gates and take over the new world. The spell used almost all of the souls, and fractured the gates, but did not open them, Asos was shunned, and carried the remaining glowing mass of souls as a lantern to roam the dark forest for several hundred years, until one night (sorry, it's always night, they lose track of time that way), three new mortals entered their realm.
The Dark Forest part 10
Sailing back to the mainland, Aether and Morax journeyd back to the road which would normally lead to the village of Etal. When they got to there, they saw a great fortress of flesh and bone. Filled with rotting bodies which may have once been human, with eyes that glowed with ever-changing color, their fathers bodies among them confirmed their suspicions. They began their killing spree towards the fortress.
Aether, having recieved his blade of origins, was restored the powers of his former lives through it, and was weaving through the bodies like a hot knife through butter. Morax on the other hand, was restored to his former self when he put Aether back in his own body. But with each kill, he was gaining more understanding. This was not just a blade which could absorb the energies of another living being, but it would completely absorb their souls, memories and genetic information, and assimilate them himself. It allowed him to choose the best traits and abilities into himself and with each kill, his power was increasing exponentially. Not only that, but the memories of those he devoured revealed the answers to the questions for which he departed for this journey.

The Tales of Borgrim part 4
The trial actually went surprisingly well for Borgrim, although the village leader had not bond or sympathy towards him, his family cried out to spare Borgrims life, in that he was only protecting the family. Telus saw reason, and although the bullies were spared of any punishment, their summon to court was enough to frighten them into leaving the boy alone. Borgrim was spared because, although Telus despised Borgrim as all humans, Telus was a fair and just man, and Borgrim had always respected that.
He would have murdered him on the spot if he knew of Borgrim's relationship with his daughter, but he was so busy now a days in his chamber guarding the cursed blade, that he hardly had time to notice. They finally did the deed one evening while the village leader and his wife were at a city council. Terza was asleep, Borgrim stayed up though, he wasn't about to be caught in her bed. He still had plenty of time before they would return from the meeting, but he didn't plan on being there very long. Being distracted by heavy thoughts of his life up until that point, suddenly, the door to her room opened.

Just another note
I am by no means a good writer. I failed the highest required English class in college 3 times, and I've never really gotten good at this sort of thing. These stories will be separated in time, but for now I am posting the stories in the order which is most relevant to reveal information that might aid in understanding the other stories. My writing style is sporadic, goes from tone to tone, mostly depending on how fucked up I am (I'm fucking trashed right now btw). There is no consistency in this whatsoever, which is why I am doing this on blogspot to be able to go back and edit things as the story progresses. Once it's all out there, I'll figure out what to do with it.
That being said, I am one creative son of a bitch (if I do say so myself, which I do, I just said it) and this story and the music which told of it was the center of my life 6 or 7 years ago. Being a story built from strange "premonitions", which I'm still to this day unsure of whether or not to take seriously, and having just returned from that place, I am urged once again to at least put the story out there.
A wise man once said, the human mind is highly susceptible to hallucinations. Much as a religious man can feel the presence of something that isn't there, and truly believe in it's existence to comfort them, so have I to fulfill this human desire for that comforting "faith". The only difference is knowing the line of where fiction begins, and where the truth lies. I realize that it is simply the outlet of my overly creative to wear itself out in a state of substance fueled madness, but at the same time, there is something I can't quite describe about those dreams, and "visions" through the Northgate.
There is something real about this, in some indescribable way, and the logic in which I was brought up to apply refers to the beginning quote of the previous paragraph. To think of things rationally, and to realize that this is merely an outlet of creativity, I've realized this for some time, but I still cannot shake that feeling of "something".
It's been a long time since I've had any kind of addition to this project, and any visits to that place have been purely for nostalgic purposes. Long ago I would visit that place and see things in that great wall, and the messages would haunt me until I finally fell asleep in the early hours of the morning, only to have some strange dream, most of the time related to what was written/drawn there by my eyes.
After spending time to recall this story, a sudden rain finally came to our area. Our extreme drought will take 3 years of above average rainfall to recover from at this point, and we welcome any small showers to come our way. I saw this fog as a rare chance to return to the place where all of this began. Obvious coincidence, but still my mind wonders. What may determine the stories outcome will be whether I dream or not, which I haven't for a long time. The backstory on that is from the last dream I had, I won't bore you with the details, but it ended with "you can never return."
I guess I should wait til after slumber to come to any further conclusions, I am in that state of delirium I felt from so long ago... awake for a few days, extremely high and extremely drunk in an effort to fall asleep. My mind is so active, that the only depressant that can tame it is xanex, but my fear that its overuse will become a dangerous habit. So awake for a day or three at a time, plus the substances I intake to initiate the slumber lead to a strange, yet enjoyable delirium.
Coming back from that place, it brings back a usually delightful madness with me that carries on until I fall asleep and have some crazy dream. I am in the mouth of madness, and I am yearning for more visions. Well, at this point being awake this long, the most I can hope for is a little shut eye, and speaking of shutting up, I should probably just shut up. Until tomorrow at least.

What happened at Sabaria
That night, 3 strangers arrived in that town. A killing spree of massive proportions ensued, for when one was slain, they rose up to join the killings. None of the towns folk could comprehend why their fallen loved ones would rise from death to end their life. After all were slain and risen again, the newly born army of the damned marched back towards the hidden forest.

A bit of back story/regarding the future of this series
So everything you've read up till now was churned out in 5 hours. In a booze fueled spree of nostalgia, I decided to write this story conceived back around winter 2006, summer 2007. I'd like to give you a little back story.
It began as my own story in the universe of one created by another person, referred to in this story as Aether (and other names throughout the mythology) after a psychedelic experience and the dreams that followed shortly thereafter (and some more psychedelic experiences in the same place after that). As time grew, as details were drawn, the differences became too difficult to compound upon each other, and thus, the universes were split. I didn't want to change what he had already set in concrete, and I was too content with where my story was headed to change it.
I owe much credit to him for the backstory to this universe, I have only taken what little facts about it that I knew of it, and used it to supplement my story which was very much in it's infant stages (it was the forest of Narm, lame, I know). A universe centered around the 9 gods, 2 specific planets within that universe, and gates that lead to the negative side of that universe. As I learned more of his universe, I began changing my story to fit, but soon it became too much to change, most particularly about the 9 gods, which in my story, more reflected friends in our small social circle. I'm pretty sure it's the same with his story too, but I'm not sure, it's been a long time, the finer details are lost on me.
If for whatever reason you've started reading these stories, I thank you. It'd be cool if people read them, but I'm just fulfilling the will of my past, that these stories be posted, and last forever. It would be nice if these could be transferred to other media, comic books, animated shorts, video games, movies? Hah that'd be funny. The most I could hope for is to finish those old songs and record them. Most were finished, just never recorded, the finished ones however are tabbed and available on the youtube channel. The songs cover the story of The Dark Forest all the way to where it splits and joins The Man from the Sky. About 2 1/2 albums worth of music, I'm doing other things now adays, but will get to it eventually. Thanks for reading.

The Road part 3
After a year of harsh terrain, and the death of one of their companions for reasons unknown, (his name was Kraos, it was his first death, so his spirit was able to be preserved for a second life inside of a spirit jar, which was kept inside the caravan), the group of 3 eventually came to a sudden halt, when the road ended at a cliff. Perplexed as to how to proceed, they exited their floating caravan to get a better look.
They stood at the edge of the cliff searching for anything, but all was hazy in the dead of night. They decided to wait til morning, so they got back in and shut the engines off to conserve energy (fueled by their magic of course. Don't ask me about the sciences of it, this is a fantasy god damnit!). The floating van settled on the ground. Asos, Ashmar, and Ulma lay in their beds in their caravan, tormented by the thought of failure. They have pooled more resources into this journey than any journey before them, especially in a time of great crisis, failure is not an option.
They woke in the morning around noon, to see the fog barely lifted. They could however see, a great mountain in the distance, they couldn't see the top of it though. They could also see a way down from the cliff they were stopped by, and a trail going into the fog. They would have to say goodbye to their floating caravan and continue the journey on foot.

The Dark Forest part 9
Morax knew he had no chance of stopping the bitch, and she was growing even more powerful draining Aether of his life force. Bad idea or not, he figured if he could at least stop her from draining Aether of his life force... without much more thought, he thrust his dagger into Aether, the gem in the center of the dagger began to glow, and it was then that he learned the true purpose of this weapon.
Sucking all of the life force and genetic information out of Aether all at once, Morax was suddenly filled with power and knowledge, moreso than when the shadow cast his light upon him. The mysteries of the universe became unlocked, and Morax, for that moment, became a god. He slapped that bitch out of existence without even breaking a sweat. Filled with the infinite knowledge of the universe, but Morax could do nothing but weep for his dead friend. Instead of mourning for too long, he had a crazy idea. If he could use the blade to devour souls, maybe he could use that same power to restore his friend. He thrust the bodkin deep into him. The gem glowed as it did before, Morax became as he was, and Aether awoke.
Although Aether was awakened, he was still dead in some respects, and he could now see clearly the spirits of the dead that surrounded them. Aether screamed in horror. "What the fuck is going on!?!?" "I still have no idea, sorry that was the only move that I had." They argued for a bit, but then they eventually turned to the sword. Morax had no luck pulling the sword out, but as soon as Aether touched it, a bright glow enveloped them. Aether emerged as a demigod, his powers from all of his past lives had transferred unto him, and he was filled with all of their will and knowledge.
Morax fell back in awe, his friend was now a being beyond his previous comprehensions. Aether finally spoke. "We've got to stop whatever force is at work here, before they do to much damage to our world." "What?" Morax asked, barely able to speak. "We're going to their fortress, and we're going to destroy them all."

The Dark Forest part 8
Building a raft out of the nearby trees, they set sail for the island in the lake of blood. Now that they were close to it, they could finally see that the lake was actually made of blood. As they set sail, they noticed more corpses stacked within the lake. What had happened in this place to leave so many rotting bodies behind? As they sailed, they were enveloped by the fog. Sailing aimlessly for awhile, they were about to give up hope, when they finally reached the island.
Marching up the trail to the top of the island, they noticed a trail heading down into a large forest, and so they followed. They ended up in decently sized grove, where a sword in a pedestal lay in the middle. As they stepped towards it, a being the likes of which they've never seen appeared before them.
It was a female who appeared to have non human origins. She spoke "I've been waiting for you, I'd just like to personally thank you for finding the Morax, I shall steal that from your corpse eventually, but I would like to see if one of you can retrieve this sword." Aether drew his sword, "I never expected you to comply, I will kill you eventually, but first, let me put your skills to the test." Aether charged forward, and was knocked down with relative ease. The bitch laughed. Morax tried to bash her head in with his spade, but she snapped it in half and laughed some more. "I do realize it might be a problem if one of you draws the sword and is able to wield it's power. I'll just drain you of your energy until you're almost dead, then you may pull the sword."
Aether charged one more time, but she knocked the blade from his hand and grabbed him by the throat and started draining his power. "SO DELICIOUS!" She cried out. Morax tried to attack her but she slapped him aside. They were both powerless before her, and she was becoming stronger draining Aether of his life force. Morax got a crazy idea, it wasn't the best idea, but it was his only shot.

The Tales of Borgrim part 3
Borgrim lived with the village leaders family for a few years. He was very obedient and became very close to the family, except for the village leader. The family consisted of Terus, the village leader, Melra, his wife, Terza, the daughter, and Telum, the young son. Borgrim had a secret relationship with Terza, although he would be executed on the spot if anyone ever found out. The Seaceans were a people of magic, with very little use of technology, as they had no need for it.
One day the leader of the village received a very important gift. His house was to be the one to protect an ancient dagger known as the "Morax", which had been been stolen from a great wizard named Sket, Who has been tormenting both Humans and Seaceans alike for decades. The dagger was stolen from him by a close member of his army. In retaliation, that great wizard slaughtered all of his elite soldiers. Sket was that powerful, and his blade possesses powers that should not be tampered with by anyone. Terus was a powerful wizard on his second life, he was the perfect candidate to be trusted to guard this evil weapon.
The next day Melra sent Terza to the village square to acquire food, and naturally, Borgrim was sent to accompany her. On the way, they spotted Telum, who was a pretty weak child, being picked on by other boys. Terza stood up for her younger brother, but it didn't do much good, as she was outnumbered. Seeing her being tormented by bullies, Borgrim stepped in.
"Hey, cut it out, just leave us be." He reluctantly chimed in, he knew with that he was in for some trouble. "Oh, so the slave wants some too? I suggest you learn your place human!" Borgrim didn't hesitate in punching the head bully in the face, but maybe he should have... "YOU FILTHY HUMAN!" he cried out in pain. The bullies friends summoned fire and roasted the shit out of him. Borgrim was brought to the healing center, and then arrested to be put on trial.

The Tales of Borgrim part 2
Now enlisted in the army, Borgrim landed on a boat onto the continent of Seacea. Time for some revenge, he thought, as he marched into enemy territory. Still unloading it's passengers, the boat suddenly exploded, and a battle ensued. The soldiers from the many boats were now facing a huge wave of Seaceans and their magics, their color changing eyes mad with rage. Most of his squad already dead, he ran past all of the confusion deep into the foreign forest. This isn't what he imagined at all, scared and trapped behind enemy lines with no hope for escape. It wasn't long before he was eventually caught, and brought together with other prisoners of war into a village.
He had heard that Seaceans sometimes kept humans as pets, but it seems like this was common practice, at least in this village. Humans were kept as workers, entertainers, something to abuse to relieve frustration. He knew that his life from now on was all downhill from here, especially since he was adopted by the village leader and his family. He had no idea of the grand quest that he would soon embark on.

The Man from the Sky part 4
Valen awoke sooner than he thought he would. Sitting in his hibernation pod, with a woman pointing a gun at his face. "How could you!?" "What?" "My hopes and dreams, the new world, you've ruined it all!" Valen was a bit bewildered, how long was I asleep? Who is this woman and where did she come from? "I've changed the trajectory back on to original course" She started saying, "or so I've tried, I'm not a mathematician, as far as I know you've completely ruined this mission, the least I could do to satisfy myself is to kill the man that ruined my hopes and dreams."
Valen tried to get up, but his body was too weak from hibernation. "Don't you fucking move!" she screamed. "Eternal hibernation would be too good for you, I'm going to make sure your death is slow and painful!" She shot him in the shoulder. Valen let out a scream and fell out of the hibernation pod. "Please, I had no other choice, it was this or being locked up for the rest of my life." "FUCK YOU! Life in prison is too good of a sentence for you." He reached up and grabbed the gun, she shot a hole through his arm as he grabbed it but he kept his grip tight. After a bit of wrestling around, he finally got the gun out of her hands. She screamed and lunged at him in retaliation, but he shot her in the leg, then shoved her into the hibernation pod and locked the door. As she screamed and pounded on the glass door, he set the hibernation time for 10 years. The pod eventually calmed her down as she drifter off into hibernation.
I gotta set the trajectory back, he thought as he took a step. OUCH! I must have sprained my foot during the scuffle and not realized it, oh well, the hibernation pod will take care of my injuries, but I gotta change the trajectory first. He limped over to the cockpit, and set a random trajectory in the opposite direction. He limped back to the hibernation pod, smoked some more poherma, and set the hibernation pod for just under 10 years, and went to sleep. More vivid dreams haunted him, this time of a soldier, heading into battle.

The Dark Forest part 7
They continued upon the road until the got to the lakefront where there was usually a fence surrounding the water. They decided to take a small break at the lakefront. Staring out over the lake, they noticed a small shadow on the horizon. The shadow slid around on the grey sky, when it got closer, they noticed what looked like a lantern hanging from the shadow. It got closer and closer, it was huge, not unlike your mom. They were petrified, their gaze completely focused on the shadow. When it finally got close enough, it shined a bright light on them.
Caught in the warmth of the light, suddenly filled with energy and power they had never dreamed of. Knowledge filled their mind, empowered them. The power of the light, so intense, a rollercoaster of power and knowledge coursing through them. It felt as if all of the universe was theirs, the powers of the infinite skies was theirs to take. And then just like that, the light stopped, the cold air once again embraced them, and the shadow left as fast as it came. They stood there bewildered, not remembering anything that just happened except for the warmth of the light, and the empowering feeling it gave them. Eventually Aether broke the silence. "The island in that lake, we have to go there." "What?" "I don't know, what just happened, but all I can remember is the island, we have to go there for some reason." They argued back and forth for a bit, but then decided to head for the shores closest to the island.

The Tales of Borgrim part 1
Times are rough, you gotta steal to survive. Borgrim was a famous thief in his town. His parents killed in one of the many Seacean-human wars, he looked after his little brothers. His youngest brother died years before due to an unknown illness, he almost considered enlisting in the army, but he still had a little brother to look after.
Borgrim was doing his usual rounds of grocery store thievery, when he heard a cry from the streets. "SEACEAN! A SEACEAN IS HERE!" He turned and then saw a Seacean running down the streets, his poor disguise falling off of him as he fled, killing anyone who got in his way with magic. He hid as the Seacean ran by, and as soon as he was in the clear, he emerged, only to see his little brother lying bloody in the street. "Beram! Beram are you okay!?" He rushed over to him. "...Big bro, there you are... I was.... looking... for........ you..........." Borgrim's heart stopped for a second. His only family left in the world just died in his arms. He mourned for a while, but eventually stood up and wiped the tears from his eyes. He knew what he had to do. He was going to enlist in the army. He was going to enlist in the army. He was going to avenge his family.

The Road part 2
A few weeks into their voyage, their food supplies began to dwindle. Asos, the captain, decided that they would eventually stop for food as soon as they came upon an area that might still have wildlife. They were searching for a source of water, when they came upon what looked like an orchard. They could hardly believe it, a fruit orchard in these times in the middle of nowhere? What are the odds? They began to pick and eat the fruit. "Looking for the gate are you?" a voice from behind startled them. It was an old Seacean. "Old man what are you doing way out here?" Asos asked. "I was part of the 3rd expedition to the North," he replied, "All of my crew except myself died from starvation on the way to the gate, I was returning back when I found this withered old farm, so I restored it and have been living here ever since."
"You've been here for 48 years!?" One of the crew asked shockingly, "Yes, and if you plan on making it to the gate, I suggest you take as much food as you can, and leave a few members of your crew behind." "Leave my crew behind? Why?" Asos asked. "I saw another group move past this place a few years back, the 5th expedition I believe, they were dying, so I fed them. They gave up and decided to return back to the village." the old man explained. "They returned? We never once have gotten word from an expedition team. That would mean..." Asos trailed off. "Please, heed my advice, if you're not going to turn back, leave some of your crew behind here to stay with me on this farm, or perhaps even turn back towards the village, do you really think you can feed the 7 of you all the way to the gate?" "...." "This road is longer than you could possibly imagine, I wouldn't recommend it, but if you are indeed the last hope for our people, then I say, godspeed to you all."
3 of the crew stayed behind with the old man, the rest took as much fruit and water as they could possibly carry, and continued on their journey.

The Man from the Sky part 3
Valen was awakened from sleep by the take off of the spacecraft. He felt like he was going to turn into jelly from the g forces of the spacecraft taking off, but finally the spacecraft slowed down as it entered orbit. He heard the cheers of the crew as he burst out from the crate in which he was hiding. He pulled his gun from it's sheath, and slowly crept through the hallway. He spotted the captain of the ship strolling about the hallways with a big smile on the face. He grabbed the captain from behind and put his gun to his neck. "Woah Johnson this is no time to be playing games!" He thought it was some sort of joke. "This isn't a prank fucker, I want you and everyone else aboard this ship into the life pod NOW!" Valen could feel the captain shit himself a little bit. Gross. The captain called everyone over to the life pod, and they all saw the seriousness of the situation. After he was sure that everybody was in the life pod, he threw the captain in, shut the door, and hit the eject button.
Hmmm.... maybe I should have given them a few food supplies, Valen thought to himself. Oh well, we didn't make it very far into space, I'm sure they'll be fine. He then had another thought. If I'm going to the new world, there's probably already people there looking for me. He went to the cockpit and saw that the spacecraft was on autopilot towards the new planet. He didn't know how to properly set the trajectory, but he figured it didn't matter, since he was probably going to die in space anyways. So he put the spaceship on manual control, and changed the flight path to one completely random. He sat down for a quick snack, smoked some poherma and then moved to the hibernation room. He set the hibernation time for 10 years, smoked a little more, and then set himself up to sleep in deep freeze. The hibernation gave him increasingly more vivid dreams. He dreamt of a group of human like creatures, in a floating caravan, traveling along an old road.

The Dark Forest part 6
After walking down the path for a minute or so, they came upon the gravestone. Morax could hardly believe his eyes, standing in front of a gravestone with your own name on in a parallel dimension is something that you don't normally see every day. They stood there for a moment in awe and silence. Before Aether could ask, a shadow came from the left, and then all went dark.
They awoke sometime later in a haze. What happened? The grave they were standing next to was dug up, although it was a shallow hole, it was obvious that there never was a coffin nor corpse in the hole. What happened? What was that shadow? Why are we still here breathing? Why is this grave dug up as if someone were looking for something? Questions raced in their minds. Suddenly, somehow, information crept into Morax's mind, as if suppressed until this very moment. 2 feet, behind the gravestone...
Morax sat up, grabbed his spade, and began digging behind the grave frantically. "What are you doing?" Aether inquired. "I'm not sure, I'll find out soon enough." Morax replied. Sure enough, after about 4 feet of digging, he came upon a small box. Within the box, was a small bodkin-like dagger, with a red gem at the bottom of the blade/top of the handle. "What in the world?" Aether asked, "How did you know that was there?" Below the blade in the box, was a small piece of parchment, which had a language he had never seen before written on it. "I'm not too sure myself." he said. He tossed the box back in the hole, put the parchment in his pocket, and put the knife back in it's sheathe. "Seriously, what's going on here?" Aether inquired again. "I told you, I have no idea, I'm just following my instincts." Morax replied as he fastened the blade and sheath to his belt. He grabbed his spade. "Maybe if we head to where our village is supposed to be we might find something out." They walked back up the path to the road, turned left, and continued forward.

The Dark Forest part 5
When Orlis, father of Morax, was a small child, he had a dream. In this dream he was in a dark forest, in front of a grave hidden deep within the thicket. The gravestone had the name of Morax written upon it, and nothing else. Not knowing who Morax was, he cried out for the unknown soul, he must have been a lonely person to be buried in such an obscure place. Getting the feeling that this Morax was a person of great importance, he felt that he should somehow continue his legacy, and thus, named his son Morax after the gravestone in his dream. What he didn't know, was that Morax had dreamt the same dreams, as had the father of Orlis before him. Now standing in the place he now knew was real, Morax knew that there was something more to these dreams, and that he might indeed find the gravestone somewhere in these lands.
He said nothing about it to Aether or anyone else. At the moment, they were both in shock at the disappearance of Torne. With nobody in sight, nor any signs of anyone at all, they reluctantly decided to continue on in hopes of finding their lost friend. They eventually came to a decrepit old bridge, one much like the one near Etal, only old and rotten. After they crossed the bridge, they came to a road which confirmed their suspicions. This was definitely some kind of world parallel to their own. Knowing that the road to the right continued to what should be the village of Etal, they decided to go left towards what should be their village. After traveling down the dark halls of the forest road for a few minutes, a flash of images brought Morax to his knees. Although afterwards he could not recall what the images were of, he somehow knew that beyond the shrubbery to his left, there was a path that had not been used for ages. After moving through the shrubbery, they found the path and moved down the hill next to the lake.

The Road part 1
Their world dying before them, the Seaceans numbers were dwindling, pushed to the very edge of their long narrow strip of a continent. The Seaceans were a race of magic that despised humans, and in the past had many wars with them. Those days long gone, the Seaceans had little to no human contact in recent times. They were shorter in stature, dark skinned, and their eyes glowed with everchanging color. Legends tell of their ancestors who had split into two groups on either end of the continent. A great sage had promised them a gateway to the new world in which many humans had sent spaceships to. The great sage Esos had pinpointed the coordinates to that planet, and built a great gateway on the top of a mountain at the Northern edge of their continent. Those that did not follow the great sage moved to the Southern edge of their continent in hopes of using their magic to restore the planet.
With no hope left, they had sent many groups down the long road to the other edge of the continent, with the hopes of one day returning to confirm the rumors of a door to another world. None ever returned, and with their numbers down to less than 30, they had just enough resources for just one more journey, it was their last hope. Lead by Asos, a great magician on his second life, they prepared for the journey that would determine the fate of their dying race.

The Dark Forest part 4
Morax, Aether and Torne entered that forbidden forest, and descended into that indescribable realm. Torne had heard the stories of the night before told to him by Morax, Aether and Sem, yet the sights still chilled his bones. Morax and Aether, although they had briefly visited this place the night before, were still in awe of the sights before them. After a moment of inspecting the horrors that lay before them, they decided to continue on through the dark, colorless, foggy forest from hell.
The path eventually went upwards and to the left, where they got a better view of the place they were now standing in. A dark lake of blood was in front of them, and looked much like the great lake that lay between the villages of Gol and Etal. "Wow! It's almost like we're in some weird parallel dimension!" Torne exclaimed loudly as he stood upon the forest balcony above the lake. "SHHHH!" He was shushed by both Morax and Aether, "We still don't know what's lurking out here in this strange place." Torne was indifferent, he was excited by the mysteries that lay before him. "We haven't seen anyone or anything since we got here, besides, what could possibly be out here that would be a threat to us? The two best swordsman from our village are here, as well as a shaman in training, the night is ours!" Torne said proudly. "Just, keep it down a little, this place is pretty unsettling nonetheless." Morax said timidly.
They continued forwards, Torne leading the group. They continued walking along the edge of the lake, when a noise from behind caught them by surprise. The rustling of leaves made them jump and turn around immediately with their weapons drawn. They stood there for a moment, waiting for something to appear. When it became apparent that nothing was there, Morax and Aether turned around and saw that Torne was no longer there.

The Man from the Sky part 2
This is madness, he thought to himself as he climbed from the river bed into the sewage duct of the space station. The authorities had searched every inch of that riverbed hours earlier with no luck, although some were still patrolling the area, he knew the area better than anyone else, and made it past with relative ease. From the sewage duct, he crawled into the vents of the storage area, which was loading supplies for the space mission. Waiting for that perfect moment when one worker was alone, he quietly crept out of the air vents, cupped his mouth over the employee and stabbed him several times in the neck, and stuffed him inside the air vent after taking his uniform. Damn, I got blood all over this uniform, he thought as he tried to clean the blood off in the bathroom. But it was good enough, good enough to sneak himself into one of the storage crates being loaded aboard the spacecraft. He quietly made his way over to the containers, they were almost finished being loaded into the spacecraft, and most of the employees had left for the pub in celebration. He opened one of the crates, removed enough food for him to fit inside (he was a smaller fellow, and he stored the removed food containers under the loading machine) and shut the door.
The crate, which was loaded onto a conveyor belt, entered the spacecraft. FOOD! AT LAST! He thought as he gorged down on the premade space food. Now all that was left was to wait for the spacecraft to launch and enter orbit. He smoked some poherma and took a well deserved rest. In his dreams, he saw 3 men enter into a dark forest, evil beyond description.

The Man from the Sky part 1
Valen slouched lazily on his sofa, flipping the channels on his television. He took another smoke from his poherma pipe. Poherma is an illegal substance which, when smoked, gives a feeling of extacy, and in sleep, gives you wild and vivid dreams. Although illegal, the ancients were know to partake of this substance during ceremonies for prophetic visions. Valen was a vendor of this substance, but that was all about to change. Looking out his window, he spotted an unmarked vehicle, he had seen it before when his previous vendor had been arrested by the authorities. By the time they busted down his apartment door, Valen was long gone, taking only his handgun, his poherma pipe, and enough poherma to last him a month (a very strong drug, you don't need to consume much for the effects) and a small pocket knife. Before they could set up any kind of perimeter, he escaped into a barren riverbed, hiding in a spot which was once a hidden fortress he had built during his childhood. The spot was very well hidden, the police had moved past it several times without even noticing it.
That year, with the discovery of a new habitable planet, the king ordered the construction of many spacecraft to make the voyage. The riverbed in which Valen hid was one that led straight to the station in which several of the first spacecrafts was set to launch during the next few days. Being the previous underling of the poherma kingpin Mago, the authorities gave him no chance to escape, they were crawling the streets looking for him, he would have to wait til nightfall to make his way towards the space station, a terrible idea yes, but it was his only route of escape. He sat there in his small fortress of rocks dirt and leaves contemplating the suicide mission he was about to embark on. He had nowhere left to turn, as soon as the sun faded from the sky, he left his safe haven and made his journey down the riverbed shrouded in trees.

The Dark Forest part 3
Was it all just a dream? Morax pondered as he lay in bed the next day. The events from the night before were too surreal to be true. He would have thought himself a madman if it weren't for Aether and Sem to corroborate his story. Later that day, one of their friends, Torne who had journeyed to Sabaria a day before them had returned. He spoke of the ghost town that was now Sabaria, and although there were signs of battle, broken things, blood spilt on the ground, there were no signs of life, not even any corpses to tell the tale of what happened to the village.
Perplexed by the mystery, the boys concluded that the forbidden forest in which they entered the night before might hold the answer. They decided to make the journey back there. Sem had no reason to go, much more now that he's seen what lies within, he decided he'd rather stay alive, and remained in the village. Torne, the best swordsman in the village, rivaled only by Aether, joined the two on their quest to return to the spot. The 3 had not told anyone from the village what had happened, except for Torne who was their close friend. Armed this time with torches in addition to their usual weapons, they set off on their journey towards the forbidden forest.

The Dark Forest part 2
As they wandered through the night, a fog began to shroud the moonlit skies. An uneasy feeling crept about as they moved closer and closer towards the forest. They had their suspicions that they were going the wrong way, yet they continued on their path as the sounds of the night seemed to vanish, and soon what should have been a noisy forest teeming with life became completely silent. The trail descended deeper into the forest, beyond a thick wall of trees, the fog now surrounding them. As they descended the small hill into the thick of the forest, it became very dark, and they did not think to bring torches with them on what was before such a bright night. When they got to the bottom of the hill, their eyes began adjusting to the darkness, and what they saw would chill the bones of any great warrior.
A dark and foggy forest with no color surrounded them, littered with inhuman corpses, stacked high against the trees dripping with a dark colorless blood. They froze in horror as they inspected the unholy grove in which they now stood. "What is this place?" They wanted to ask, but the horrors before them froze their speech. "Lets get out of here" one of them eventually said, but as they turned around they saw the path from which they came. A giant gate of steel, trees, blood, flesh and bones now loomed over them. Pulsing with magic, the gates gave off an unnerving aura. They soon noticed the shadows moving in the sky above them, it was too much to take in. Shaking in their boots, they fled through the gates from which they came back to their village, wondering if it had all been just a bad dream.

The Dark Forest part 1
Our story begins in a small village, built on, in, and around a giant oak tree. This village/tree, called Gol, was a very small and peaceful village compared to the neighboring villages, Sabaria, also centered on a giant tree, and Etal, a merchant village, and a very progressive town. Life was going well until merchants and messengers sent between the villages of Gol and Sabaria stopped returning to Gol. The sky festival was soon, celebrating their ancestors descent from the sky in chariots of steel, but communication between villages was severed. Concerned for the well being of the village of Sabaria, the Chieftain of Gol, and its shaman set out on a journey to Sabaria to find out what happened. The shaman was something of a local legend, for he possessed unique powers of healing, which to this day are still not fully understood. Our story begins with Morax, son of Orlis the shaman, and Aether, son of Aemar the village chieftain. It had been 2 days since the chieftain and the shaman left on their 8 hour journey to the neighboring village, Morax and Aether began to worry.
That night, they left the village with their friend Sem towards Sabaria. Armed with a spade, Morax travelled with the two swordsman (Morax was one of the few boys in the village not trained in the art or swordplay, for his father was adamant that he learn the ways of the shaman) on their 8 hour journey to Sabaria, however, only Aether had been to Sabaria, and only once when he was a child. Eventually they came to a crossroads, and after much debating, they decided to take the left path. Little did they know, they were headed towards a forest that was forbidden to the Sabarians. The Sabarians knew not of why they were forbidden to enter that forest, for it had been that way for hundreds of years. Children often snuck into the forest to play, and no harm ever came of it, it wasn't really a concern to anyone except for the Sabarian chieftain, but even he knew not why the forest was off limits.

Intro
These are stories I made up long ago, fueled by dreams and psychedelic visions, I began writing concept albums to this mythology which was merged with that of a friend who told me of his own mythology, that of an ethereal gate that connects our world to a void of darkness. It was then that we stumbled upon said gate during a psychedelic voyage, and thus the stories unfolded. Although I never did release too much material from that era, I feel like I should at least write down the story. Some of the music can be found on the youtube channel Hellforest666, although no lyrics are present. I'm sure nobody cares, but I gotta throw it out there for some reason.
These stories were never really written down, the beginning segments which were written down were lost in a fire, this story has remained vaguely in my head ever since. A lot of information is lost on me, names of people and places, I can't recall all of them, so I'll be improvising names and parts of the story as I try to piece it together.
Something that might throw you off is the order in which the stories are presented. While seemingly unconnected, I promise you that these are different parts to the same story, which spans across 2 worlds and hundreds of years.
There are many parts to this story, The Dark Forest being the center and beginning of the story, The Man from the Sky gives supplement to that story, The Road being the precursor to The Dark Forest, and The Tales of Borgrim being the precursor to that story. Eventually I will get to The Origins, which tell of the creation of that universe and gives backstory to The Tales of Borgrim. Eventually, The Dark Forest will lead into The Catacombs of Time and Space which will lead to The Old World, which will eventually in the end merge everything together. The story beyond that point is a bit blurry, I'll probably leave it at an epic cliffhanger there. Sorry about the long disclaimer, but I just thought I'd clear up any confusions to the maybe 1 or 2 people (if I'm lucky) that might read this.
